Mardi Gras

Mardi Gras has long been celebrated along the Gulf Coast, and Pensacola's celebration is among the best of them!  The Parades run through the weekend before Fat Tuesday.

The Krewe of Lafitte starts the weekend off on Friday night with a parade through downtown Pensacola.  The family oriented Grand Mardi Gras parade is held on Saturday in downtown Pensacola, and Sundays grand finale is the Krewe of Wrecks Parade on Pensacola Beach.  MBT's entry in the local parades is a 40' long "replica" of the USS Oriskany.

Mullet Toss at the Florabama Lounge

Yes, grown people come to this famous spot on the Florida Alabama state line on Perdido Key to spend a weekend enjoying themselves while competing to see who can throw a dead fish the farthest.  How can you not have a good time?

Blue Angels Pensacola Beach Airshow

One of the biggest events of the year, the Blue Angels annual Pensacola Beach Airshow seems to get bigger every year.    Normally held in July, the  show consists of a varied collection of demonstrations by a variety of aircraft, with the Blue Angels as the finale.   If you're an airshow fan, don't miss this one!
