USS Oriskany Underwater

The deployment of Ex-USS Oriskany CV/CVA-34 was completed on May 17th 2006.  Despite early concerns that she had landed on her starboard side, she was found to be sitting perfectly upright the next day.

Oriskany sits upright in 212' of water, with the flight deck around 135', and the top of the structure at 69'.  A dive on the USS Oriskany does not need to be a technical dive, as there is more than enough to provide an awesome dive experience above the 100' mark.

The sheer size and majesty of the Oriskany cannot be accurately described - you've got to see her for yourself - She's incredible!

Marine life of all types has settled on and in Oriskany very quickly, with tropicals, scallops, crabs, and octopi in permanent residence and larger pelagics and gamefish making regular visits.  As growth continues to cover the ship, the population of marine life is expected to explode in diversity and quantity.
